Applied Kinesiology

Applied Kinesiology is a diagnostic system based on muscle testing that can provide valuable information about musculoskeletal conditions, internal organ stress, nutritional status, and the acupuncture meridian system.

George Goodhart, D.C. discovered subtle changes in muscle tone that could not be explained by frank neurological impingement. A genius in clinical research, Goodhart and his team began exploring this physiological finding, which he termed "hypofacilitation". Goodhart's team found hypofacilitation could be caused by imbalances in the spine, the cranial/sacral system, neurolymhpatic and neurovascular reflex points, and the acupuncture meridian system. They put these finding together into a diagnostic system and named it "Applied Kinesilogy". Applied Kinesiology was originally used in the Chiropractic profession, but as the brilliance and wide scope of application of the system became known, it has become utilized by a wide range of health care practitioners, including Medical Doctors, Osteopaths, Naturopaths, Doctors of Traditional Chinese Medicine, Massage therapists, and many other health care disciplines, and is now practiced internationally.
